'Resistance' (Part 4) story by Joe Harris

In the Sea of Japan, the alien lights take over the crews of Korean and American warships, manipulating them into a standoff. In Alexandria, Virginia, Agent Mulder is relieved to learn that Scully escaped the warehouse explosion; after she registers her annoyance with his failure to heed her advice, they receive a warning from an alien-possessed fire crew. At F.B.I. headquarters, Assistant Director Skinner receives a visit and a veiled threat from the Attorney General. Mulder and Scully travel to the Shyma Foundation at Peters Mountain, Virginia, only to find the facility under FBI investigation, supervised by AD Skinner; Ben-Brahim is missing, and his containment cell has been broken – the ‘Old Ones’ have escaped and wreaked their vengeance... In the Sea of Japan, the Old Ones leave their hosts; now free, the crews of the Korean and American warships retreat in alarm as a huge alien spaceship rises from the sea and departs... Back at F.B.I. headquarters, Scully contemplates the contents of a letter left to her by Ben-Brahim, Mulder continues his investigations, and Skinner mulls over a Shyma memory stick…
