Virgil is taking Grandma to London when <I>Thunderbird 2</I> suddenly loses power – and so does the entire city below. After making a crash landing in the street, Virgil contacts Lady Penelope for help in locating the source of the electromagnetic frequency that is disrupting all power in London. While Virgil comes to the aid of a crane operator in peril, Lady Penelope and Parker discover that the outage is caused by an anti-technology group called ‘The Luddites’; together they follow the gang members underground, and learn that the Luddites are using the power outage to break into the Codex Vault – which will enable them to command complete control of the global power grid. Meanwhile, Grandma accompanies Virgil as he goes ‘old school’, tracking the Luddites without the use of his usual gadgets; reaching the vault, they discover the real culprit behind the plot to cripple the world’s electricity: the Hood…
