'Signals' (Part Two) by Rob Hoegee

Havoc has stolen Thunderbird 3, stranding Kayo and Alan in the Midpoint Salvage Exclusion Zone. Pirates Reece and Dobbs in turn steal the Chaos Cruiser, but are unable to fly it properly, and narrowly miss killing Alan and Kayo. Meanwhile, Scott’s attempts to retrieve the Zero-X escape cannister - which may hold vital information as to the fate of Jeff Tracy - prove in vain, as thick sea sludge pulls Thunderbird 4 under the sea bed. When Lady Penelope suggests using Thunderbird 2 as a submarine, Virgil shuts down the plane’s air intake valves and floods the module; Thunderbird 2 submerges enough for its rescue claw to reach Thunderbird 4, pulling Scott free – but then the rescue craft’s engines give out, and it sinks to the ocean floor... Out in space, Alan and Kayo get aboard the Chaos Cruiser and instruct the pirates to allow themselves to be captured by Thunderbird 3’s grapple; while Havoc spins the stolen rescue ship enough to throw Reece and Dobbs clear of the Chaos Cruiser, Alan and Kayo use a secret override panel to gain access to Thunderbird 3. But Havoc detects their presence, and she escapes in the Chaos Cruiser, leaving Thunderbird 3 and its occupants on a collision course with the surface of the Moon…
