Thunderbirds Are Go Cast

On the dark side of the planet Mercury, the Gray and Houseman mobile mining platform runs into trouble when one of its storage pods explodes, causing a chain reaction that disables the Crawler’s engine; with sunrise due in a matter of hours, the crew will be burnt to a crisp, so the commander, Bob Grey, contacts International Rescue for help. Alan takes Brains with him in Thunderbird 3, the rocket’s ion engines getting them to Mercury in record time. Teaming up with gruff chief engineer, Andi Houseman, Brains learns that the Crawler’s systems are at 15% power but need to be at full charge to restart the engine. After Brains proposes a dangerous solution, Alan and Bob take a space pod to the cusp of night and day to deploy a solar collector, in the hope it will recharge the Crawler before melting to sludge. Having dropped off the collector, Alan and Bob return to the Crawler; however, the solar collector only manages to recharge the platform’s system to 70% before it is destroyed by the approaching sunlight. The Crawler still doesn’t have enough power to leave – and in just two hours it will be sunrise…
