Virgil uses <I> Explorer Pod A</I> to take Grandma shopping for supplies, but they have to make a swift exit from the warehouse after John reports an emergency situation: a massive rockslide in the Sahara Desert has left three workers trapped in their construction office, with a violent sandstorm approaching. <I>Thunderbird 2</I> arrives at the scene and deploys Pod 2, but as Virgil sets off in his exo-suit, John reports another distress call, from a local hat merchant trapped in the storm. Virgil programs <I>Thunderbird 2</I>’s auto-pilot to take Grandma to the scene, and then makes his way across the unstable terrain to free the buried construction workers. Meanwhile, Grandma arrives at the market, but the storm winds are too strong for the merchant to reach the ship; under Grandma’s guidance Virgil remotely-pilots <I>Thunderbird 2</I> to land around the shop tent, allowing the merchant, Kate, to get safely aboard. But this delay leaves Virgil and the workers trapped in the cabin, unable to leave because of the sandstorm raging outside; with their air running out and the metal walls and ceiling collapsing under the weight of the shifting sand, Virgil and the workers’ only hope lies with Grandma, as she flies <I>Thunderbird 2</I> to their rescue…
