The <I>Enterprise</I> arrives at space station <I>Gemini</I> to undertake an experiment that will unlock the secrets of the beginning of the universe. Using the station’s warp accelerator and main deflector, Mr Spock begins the complex process to create primordial quark gluon plasma; however, an energy fluctuation sends the procedure out of control, trapping Spock aboard the station and producing a gigantic particle cloud with enough energy to create a black hole. With time running out, can the <I>Enterprise</I> crew find a way to retrieve their comrade and prevent the cloud from destroying everything in the vicinity...?
