Star Trek The Next Generation Cast

The U.S.S. Enterprise investigates a distress call from a stricken Talarian vessel. But when an away team beams across to the vessel they find that it is manned by five teenagers, one of whom is human. As Doctor Crusher treats the youths in sickbay she discovers that the young human boy, Jono, shows signs of severe abuse; Jono initially refuses to communicate with any of the crew, but soon responds to Picard after learning that he is a captain. The boy asks to be returned to Endar, the Talarian who raised him, but Picard refuses, afraid for the boy's safety. The captain contacts Starfleet and learns that Jono is really Jeremiah Rossa, an orphan from a Federation outpost who was presumed dead in a battle ten years ago. Although his real grandmother, a Starfleet admiral, is anxious for Jono’s return, Counselor Troi is concerned that the boy may find readjustment to a human lifestyle to be traumatic; she informs Picard that he must be the one to help the boy, as Talarians only respond to male authority figures. Then Endar arrives in a ship and demands Jono’s return, threatening war when Picard refuses to hand over the boy…
