Star Trek The Next Generation Cast

Returning victorious from a bat'leth competition on Forgus III, Lieutenant Worf arrives on board the U.S.S. Enterprise and walks straight into a surprise birthday party thrown by his crewmates. After receiving his gifts, including an expressionist painting from Lieutenant Commander Data, Worf's initial discomfort at such attention soon turns to dizziness when his birthday cake inexplicably changes from chocolate to yellow, and Captain Picard appears out of nowhere, despite not being able to attend. The Enterprise arrives at the Argus Array, a space telescope that has recently malfunctioned for the third time in a year; however, an investigation shows that the Array is functioning normally, but has been reprogrammed to stop sending information back to the Federation. While a repair crew is sent to the Array, Worf asks Counselor Troi become his son's 'so'chim', making her Alexander's surrogate mother, and the equivalent of his stepsister; Troi accepts, but alarms the Klingon when she notes that this makes her mother his stepmother. Later, Worf joins Data and Lieutenant LaForge in Engineering and discovers a Cardassian ship in the Array's imaging logs; but as he prepares to scan the area, he feels another wave of dizziness, and finds that his two colleagues are suddenly on the opposite side of the room. Worf visits Doctor Crusher, who attributes his disorientation to the concussion that cost him the bat'leth tournament; Worf is shocked, and insists that he won the contest, but when he returns to his quarters to get his trophy, he is stunned to find that it is for ninth place. When Doctor Crusher reassures him that his memory will return if he settles back into his routine, Worf heads for the Bridge, just as a Cardassian ship appears. Picard explains to its captain, Gul Nador, that they are repairing the Array; however, Picard is surprised to learn from Worf that evidence from the imaging logs shows that Nador's ship is responsible for tampering with the Array; neither he nor the Bridge crew know of such logs. When LaForge later states that the problem was a simple malfunction, Worf's concern increases; he suffers another dizzy spell, and notices that Data's painting on the wall has altered; another wave of dizziness sees Troi's clothes change, and yet another, sees him on the Bridge, just as a Cardassian warship attacks the ship and destroys the Array. Reprimanded by Picard, Worf becomes even more confused when no once recalls his memory loss. Convinced that he is losing his mind, Worf returns to his quarters - only to learn that Troi is now his wife. Somehow, Worf is moving between parallel dimensions - but what is causing it, and how can he return to his proper universe?
