Star Trek The Next Generation Cast

While Chief Miles O'Brien and Keiko Ishikawa make preparations for their forthcoming wedding, Lieutenant Commander Data looks forward to his important role of giving the bride away. However, Data soon causes problems when he misunderstands Keiko’s pre-wedding nerves and suggests that she call off the wedding - his android logic deciding that since O'Brien loves Keiko, if calling off the wedding makes her happy, then it will make him happy. Luckily the groom and bride-to-be resolve the situation, and the wedding is back on once more. Learning that he will have to dance at the wedding, Data decides to turn to Doctor Beverly Crusher for help, as she was once a tap-dancing champion. Meanwhile, Vulcan Ambassador T'Pel is travelling aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, preparing to negotiate a treaty with the Romulans inside the Neutral Zone. Because T'Pel’s brusque behaviour sets the crew on edge, Data is entrusted with the task of looking after her; when T’Pel later asks Data to reveal secret defence information, the android refuses on the grounds that she does not have the proper authorisation. The ship soon encounters a Romulan warbird, causing Captain Picard to become uneasy; his concern proves justified when, just as T'Pel is beaming aboard the Romulan vessel, something interrupts the transporter signal and the Ambassador is killed…
