Escaping from three Romulan warbirds, the <I>Enterprise</I> passes through an energy cloud which causes the ship’s computer to turn into a practical joker. As the crew are plagued by perforated drinking glasses and eyepieces that give the viewer black eyes, Captain Kirk must find a way to restore order…
