When the Justice League go missing and a flaming, flying ghost is sighted in the heroes' headquarters, Jimmy Olsen calls in his old flame, Daphne Blake, and her Mystery Inc. friends to help. Arriving in Metropolis, Daphne, Fred, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo find the city's streets and skies overrun with super-villains, including, the Joker, Harley Quinn, General Zod and his Kryptonian criminals, Solomon Grundy, Brainiac and Giganta. Following the clues, the Scooby-gang make friends with Krypto the Superdog, who is desperate to find his missing master; they also form a surprising team-up with Lex Luthor and his own dog, Rex Ruthor. Where have all the heroes gone? What is the secret of the flying monsters? Will Shaggy and Scooby get enough fries? Where did Velma go when she took off her glasses? All these questions and more will need solving before the Mystery Inc. gang can crack the case!
