Tegan receives a mysterious summons to a night-time rendezvous at a deserted fairground. Here she is astonished to be reunited with her long-lost friend, Nyssa, who offers Tegan the opportunity to resume her travels with the Doctor in the TARDIS. Tegan happily agrees, but when she enters the newly-materialised blue box, she instead finds herself in the mindscape of her old nemesis, the Mara. This trickster creature tries once again to tempt Tegan into joining her - but Tegan resists... and then wakes up from her vivid dream. Staring into her bedroom mirror, Tegan vows to deny the Mara from taking over her mind - but can that evil presence within ever be defeated..?
