'Defenders of Earth' (1 Part) by Pete McTighe

While on an unusual date exploring caves by the seashore, two girls, Kat and Alex, are attacked by a monster. They are saved by the arrival of a strange woman named Jo Jones, who sees off the 'Sea Devil' with the aid of her sonic lipstick. Jo leads the girls to the nest of eggs that the creature was protecting, and together they watch as one of its offspring hatches. After helping the baby Sea Devil into the sea, Jo tells her new friends about the adventures she had with her late husband, Cliff; hearing about the ecological action group Jo has set up in Cliff's name, Kat and Alex offer to help...
