6th November 1962: As Sam leaps into Eddie Vega, a sixteen-year-old high-school American football quarterback, he manages to make the pass that wins the game for his team, The Panthers. When this isn’t enough to make him leap again, Al informs Sam that if The Panthers beat The Bulldogs in the next game they will win the championship, and both Eddie and his best friend and team-mate, Chuey Martinez, will be given scholarships. However, Cheuy’s mother is badly behind on her rent, and when her unscrupulous landlord, Ruben de Guerra, instructs Cheuy to throw the game so that he can win a bet, it seems that The Panthers - and their star players - are destined to lose…
