While a poncho-clad Vince is enjoying his job distributing millet, Howard is lamenting his dream to become a writer, mainly so that he can impress Mrs Gideon. Howard scoffs when Vince mentions his ‘Charlie’ books, about a character made of pink bubble-gum, but becomes frightened when Vince insists that Charlie is real. Meanwhile, Bob Fossil concocts a new breeding plan for the pandas: by getting Howard to dress up as one of the animals and then woo the female panda, Foo-Foo, he aims to make the male, Chi-Chi, jealous; but Howard gets Vince to dress up in his place so he can stalk Mrs Gideon, and the ever-charming Vince gets a little bit too involved in his task... Later on, Howard begins writing his new novel, but becomes angry when famous publisher Hamilton Cork arrives at the Zoo-Niverse with the news that he wants to publish Vince's ‘Charlie’ books. While Howard seeks Naboo’s help with some anger management therapy, Vince begins planning his new life of celebrity – until Dixon Bainbridge announces that he intends to take the credit for Vince’s books instead. Vince is furious – and when Charlie hears of Bainbridge’s plans, he unleashes a Hubba-Bubba nightmare on the Zoo-Niverse…
