Having failed in her attempt to snog the Doctor, the over-amorous Amy is put out by his behaviour as a “typical bloke” sending out mixed signals. The Doctor explains that he invited Amy to join him because he has grown blasé with the universe, and wants to re-experience all the wonders of time and space through her eyes. Realising that she isn’t the first person the Doctor has travelled with, Amy tricks him into allowing her access to the TARDIS data bank, and sees all the entries for the women he has travelled with.
