'Return To Cadiz' by Sonny Mathias

While testing K.I.T.T.'s new ‘Third Stage Aquatic Synthesizer’, a device that will allow him to drive on water, Michael discovers an injured scuba-diver washed up on the shore. After the boy, Bobby Shell, recovers him hospital, he tells Michael that he got the bends fleeing from an unscrupulous treasure hunter named Karl Roessler whilst diving for ancient Aztec treasure found in a sunken Spanish galleon. Michael decides to ensure that the treasure doesn’t fall into the wrong hands…
