'Dead of Knight' by Janis Hendler and Tom Greene

When Michael attempts to break up a sale of deadly chemicals, things go wrong and a young dancer named Lori is inadvertently killed by toxic gas. Michael sets off on the trail of the criminals, but his cover is soon blown and an attempt is made on his life; however, the poisoned drink meant for is unwittingly drunk by his new date, Lori’s friend, Cindy. Can Michael find the cure in time to save Cindy’s life..?
