Hiro teleports back in time to save Charlie, only to learn he has jumped back six months… Elsewhere, in Brooklyn, watchmaker Gabriel Gray receives a visit from Doctor Chandra Suresh, who is looking for people with special gifts… Police Officer Matt Parkman pulls Eden over for speeding, but succumbs to her voice powers… In Odessa, Texas, Claire Bennet is talked into becoming a cheerleader by her vapid friend Jackie. When Claire inadvertently cuts her hand, she discovers that she has a healing power; then her foster father receives a phone call from Doctor Suresh… In Los Angeles, Niki Sanders attends an alcoholics’ work group, and receives an unwelcome visit from her father… In Manhattan, Nathan Petrelli attends a party to celebrate the qualification of his brother, Peter, as a nurse; Nathan tells Peter that the district attorney wants their help to bring down a mob boss named Mr Linderman, whose biggest client is their own father… Mr Bennet kidnaps Eden for experimentation… Hiro tries to call Ando to warn him of the future, but only succeeds in speaking to himself; forced to remain in the past, the Japanese boy gets a job at the diner and soon falls in love with Charile… Niki visits the grave of her late sister, Jessica… Mr Linderman’s henchmen run Nathan and his wife Heidi off the road… Doctor Suresh begins his research into Gabriel’s special powers, unaware that this will send Gabriel on a course to become the serial killer known as Sylar…
