'Landslide' Story Code: '122' by Jesse Alexander

After Peter gains control over the power he has absorbed from Ted, Mr Bennet sends them both off with Claire to find a safe haven, while he and Matt head for the Linderman building to destroy the Company’s Special detector; however, they are all unaware that they are being watched by Sylar… Mr Linderman reassures Nathan that although he is currently losing in the polls, he will still win the election – and is destined for even greater things. After telling Nathan that his father was also a Special, Linderman gives him a parting gift by curing his wife’s paralysis… Hiro and Ando’s quest to repair the sword takes them to Mr Claremont, a swordsmith who recognises the blade and knows of the ‘Gosend’ legend; he also has another customer in his store: Hiro’s father… Mr Linderman asks Micah to help him save the world… After Sylar informs the F.B.I. of Ted’s whereabouts, the exploding man is swiftly captured by Agent Hanson, but Peter and Claire manage to escape… Hiro’s father gives his approval to his son’s mission, and proceeds to train him in the art of sword fighting… Candice takes Micah to a polling station, where the boy uses his power over computers to swing the votes to give Nathan a landslide victory… Sneaking into the Linderman building, Jessica and D.L. encounter Mr Bennet and Matt, and learn that they share a common goal… Ando decides to take on Sylar by himself… Mohinder uses his own antibodies in a bid to cure Molly… Thompson sets an ambush for Matt and Mr Bennet, but is killed in the attempt… Matt is horrified to find that the Special detector he and Mr Bennet have come to destroy is in fact the child, Molly… Jessica and D.L. confront Mr Linderman in a final showdown… Nathan makes his victory speech… Sylar intercepts the van transporting Ted, then cuts open the man’s head and absorbs his explosive power…
