THIS EPISODE WILL SELF-DESTRUCT IN 3… 2…

A white hole appears in the sky above Earth, and a disembodied voice invites representatives from ‘Universe 6’ to join those from the other twelve to witness the birth of a new universe. Professor Farnsworth tries bribing President Nixon’s head into letting the Planet Express gang go, but Secretary of Space Bubblegum Tate warns of the time acceleration emanating from the hole. A crew of schoolchildren is sent instead, but they return just seconds later, having aged into elderly astronauts after subjectively travelling for eighty years. Professor Farnsworth gets his wish, and he and the Planet Express gang are put into cold storage and sent on a mission that will take them ten-million years to fulfil. The ship is governed by a hologram Professor, who uses short-lived 3D-printed clones of the crew to maintain the mission. After several malfunctions, a swarm of space salps, and a sentient blob evolved from Fry’s yoghurt, the Planet Express ship finally crosses the white hole’s reverse event horizon. But on seeing the bones of all their predecessors, the latest batch of clones refuses to defrost the real crew, choosing instead to take their place aboard the specially provided shuttle bubble that will transport them to the birth of the new universe. Still asleep and blissfully unaware of these events, the real Planet Express crew are sent back to Earth…
