Having finally beaten Covid, the citizens of New New York now face Explovid-23, an anger-increasing virus spread the mutants dwelling under the city - and Leela. Relegating their furious colleague to quarantine, the Planet Express crew struggle with anti-virus precautions, and the professor fails to find a convincing vaccine. Believing the virus to a zombie plague, Hermes takes drastic action and travels to New New Orleans to find a cure using voodoo. Meanwhile, the aliens of Omicron Persei 8 see an opportunity for invasion: taking advantage of mankind’s confusion they launch an all-out assault on Earth…
