'Space Monster' by Gerry Anderson

The crew of Fireball XL2 crash-lands on the planet Monotane, where they are forced to hide in a cave to escape a huge, ravenous space monster. Having received the crew’s distress call, Commander Zero despatches Fireball XL5 on a rescue mission. After a long journey, Steve Zodiac, Venus and Matt arrive at the planet, but when Fireball Junior heads down to the planet surface, the ship is knocked out of control by the creature and Steve only just makes a crash landing – now only Matt and Zoonie can save the day…
