In April 2012, the 'Doctor Who' production team travelled to New York to record 'The Angels Take Manhattan'. In August 2018, I went on holiday to NYC with Marnie, Tom and Emma, and we tracked down some of the key location spots in Central Park that were used in the story. A lot has changed in those few years, as you can see below...
At the start of the story, the Doctor, Amy and Rory relax on a big rock in Central Park	Clive and Emma on the same rock in August 2018, reading the Doctor's 'Melody Malone' novel. You can see that the trees have grown a fair bit!
In some shots, a different rock was used for the Doctor, Amy and Rory's scene; Gapstow Bridge is visible behind them	The same rock is now heavily overgrown, with only a small bit left to sit on; consequently the shot is slightly different, but the bridge and tree are still visible in the background
After leaving to get coffee, Rory is stalked by Weeping Angel cherubs at the Bethesda Fountain	Clive at Bethesda Fountain in 2018. Note the strange lens flare - spooky!
Now on Bow Bridge, the Doctor continues to read his book, while Amy plays Poohsticks	Clive and Emma on Bow Bridge in 2018, reading a good book
The Doctor discovers something disturbing in his novella...	Clive and Emma engrossed in Melody Malone's adventures
At the end of the episode, the Doctor reads Amy's message on the final page of his book	Clive on sitting on the benches along the Mall in 2018
