'Calling the Doctor'

Alien artefacts contaminated with a strange energy begin appearing in UNIT's Black Archive in London. Osgood and her assistant, Andrew Turner, realise that each of the items - a Sontaran helmet, mace and handcuffs; a Weeping Angel; a Memory Worm chrysalis; a Gallifreyan Time Ring; a Dalek gun stick; a Carrionite Crystal Ball; and a Clockwork Droid mask - all relate to a specific incarnation of the Doctor. Initially Osgood believes the items to have been sent by the Doctor, but soon comes to the terrible realisation that the Doctor may be the target, not the messenger: the objects are temporally unstable, and could warp reality beyond recognition unless they are returned to the correct point in the Doctor's timeline. Acting against Osgood's orders, Andrew phones the Fugitive Doctor, the earliest incarnation UNIT has on record. Initially the Fugitive Doctor refuses to help; but Andrew makes a persuasive argument, and convinces the Doctor into agreeing to work with UNIT to save her future selves...
