Comic Relief: 'Time' by Steven Moffat |
The future Amy informs her past self, Rory and the Doctor that the exterior shell of the TARDIS has now drifted forward in time: if her earlier self steps through, she can enter the control room in the past. Knowing that they must stick to the established chain of events, the Doctor instructs Amy to enter the ship. Pausing only to slap Rory for thinking of the delights of having two versions of her, Amy quickly flirts with herself and then enters the second TARDIS – but when she reappears at the main doors, she is now accompanied by Rory. With things getting confusing, the Doctor sends his versions of Amy and Rory back into the other TARDIS, and then prepares to cause a controlled temporal implosion to rectify the paradox – the only problem being that he has no idea which control to use. Luckily, at that moment a second Doctor steps through the main doors, instructing himself to use the Wibbly Lever. The earlier Doctor quickly complies, then races into the second TARDIS, which promptly dematerialises. With the TARDIS back in flight and things back to normal, the Doctor tells Amy to go and put some trousers on, just in case…
