Things finally seem to be going well for the Scooby Gang: Buffy and Spike are assisting Detective Dowling with ‘Supernatural Crimes’, enjoying each other’s company as they slay a giant worm-demon in the sewers. Willow has begun setting up Wiccan covens, teaching magic to her students and even hitting on the occasion cute witch-in-training. Giles has become comfortable in his thirteen-year-old form. Xander and Dawn are back on track together. Even Andrew is out and proud. But when Xander holds a rooftop barbeque, things inevitably go south – as an enormous Chinese Storm Dragon swoops in to attack San Francisco, raining death and destruction upon the city and its people…
