'Return to Sunnydale' (Part 1) by Christos Gage

Andrew steals the ‘Vampyr’ book and heads to the remains of Sunnydale. Suspecting the worst, Buffy and the Scooby gang realise that the town is currently the site of a Halloween celebration – and by partying over a Hellmouth, everyone assembled there will make the perfect sacrifice. Buffy, Willow and Spike immediately set off in pursuit; arriving at the Sunnydale celebrations they follow Andrew’s trail through the revellers to one of the Trio’s old hideouts; here they find samples of DNA from Andrew’s former allies – could he by trying to resurrect Jonathan and Warren? Before they can find out more, Buffy, Spike and Willow are attacked by an angry, tentacled elder demon, which bears a grudge against Slayers ever since one killed its family…
