'New Rules' (Part 4) by Christos Gage and Nicholas Brendon

Having stolen the ancient tome, ‘Vampyr’, Dracula rests up at a swanky hotel with his hypnotised lackey, Xander. By writing his own new rules into the mystical book, Dracula is able to first rejuvenate his form, and then decree that all beings, alive and undead, natural and supernatural recognise him as ‘Lord of All Vampires’. Meanwhile, Buffy, Willow, Dawn, Spike and the pre-teen Giles work on tracking down their abducted comrade and his vampiric master. The gang eventually trace Dracula to his hotel – but when they burst inside his room, they discover that Dracula’s latest rule to become “the most powerful vampire” of all has gone very, very wrong…
