'Own It' (Part 3: 'Taking Ownership') by Christos Gage

Buffy parks Spike’s suggestion of breaking up so that she can concentrate on dealing with D’Hoffryn; together they visit the leaders of the various demon factions, sowing the seeds of Buffy’s plan... Elsewhere, Dawn and Xander continue making their way through a multitude of strange and bizarre dimensions in their quest to reach home… Finally taking time to discuss their future, Buffy and Spike agree to try and make their relationship work, even if it means a hard road ahead. Returning home, Buffy and Spike are surprised to find Willow and Giles waiting for them, the former having been ‘court-martialed’ from the military, the latter having seen through the faeries’ indolence. Andrew also returns to the fold, having learnt from Clive how he has been manipulated by the ghost of Jonathan. A happy reunion is made even happier when Xander and Dawn suddenly appear through a portal – home at last! Now back to full strength, the Scooby gang get ready to stop D’Hoffryn once and for all…
