'Angel and Faith': 'Where the River Meets the Sea' (Part 1) by Victor Gischler

Twilight is over. Magic is gone. Giles is dead, and Angel killed him – that is, the possessed-by-mystical-forces Angel. With Giles dead, a guilt-ridden Angel uses the Watcher’s files to pick up where he left off; together with Faith, he saves a young girl from a demonic possession. Afterwards, Faith meets up with Nadira, who has set her sights on killing Angel after ‘Twilight’ sent two psychotic vampires, Pearl and Nash, to murder her Slayer squad. Elsewhere, Whistler meets up with two new clients: none other than Pearl and Nash, who want payback on Angel…
