'Resurection Ship' Story Code: '211' by Michael Rymer Story by Anne Cofell Saunders

In response to Admiral Cain’s order to have Chief Tyrol and Lieutenant Helo executed, Commander Adama launches the Galactica’s Raptor squad and orders them to rescue his men from the Pegasus. In response, Cain launches her own ships, instructing them not to open fire on their opponents, but to instead fly straight at them and force them to turn away. Meanwhile, Starbuck takes the Blackbird stealth fighter into the heart of the nearby Cylon fleet; carefully avoiding detection she manages to take images of the aliens’ Resurrection Ship – a huge vessel containing the master bodies of the Cylons’ duplicates – before returning safely to the Colonial fleet. Apollo is relieved of his command, but is able to transmit a signal to Starbuck, informing her of the tense situation between the crews of the two Battlestars. Believing Starbuck’s Blackbird to be an incoming Cylon raider, the Pegasus recalls its fighters, but before Cain can take further action she receives an incoming transmission, as Starbuck sends her the images of the Cylon fleet. Cain is impressed, and, in light of this new information, she proposes that she and Adama jointly recall their ships. Adama presses for the release of his men, and agrees to meet on the neutral ground of Colonial 1. With President Roslin mediating an uneasy truce is drawn between Commander Adama and Admiral Cain, as both agree to join forces to destroy their mutual enemy. Cain promotes Starbuck to captain and assigns her to lead the attack on the Cylons; knowing that Apollo has had his command revoked, Starbuck asks that he be reinstated and assigned to her team. Meanwhile, President Roslin talks candidly to Adama – she is concerned that Cain’s ruthlessness will result in the disruption of the Colonial fleet, and proposes that Adama have the Admiral assassinated…
