'Resistance' Story Code: '204' by Toni Graphia

The strain of command is taking its toll on Colonel Tigh; having dissolved the Quorum of Twelve and declared Martial Law, he then arrests Chief Tyrol on suspicion of being a Cylon agent in collusion with Boomer. After a traumatic interrogation, the Chief is placed in the same holding cell as his former lover, but when Boomer attempts to speak to him, he threatens to kill her. On Caprica, Helo and Starbuck encounter a team of tough Pyramid players, who have organised themselves and other survivors into a small resistance group. Back on the Galactica, things are not going well for Baltar: Cally threatens that unless he helps Chief Tyrol she will reveal that it was he who killed Crashdown on Kobol; then Tigh brings Baltar up on the failure of his Cylon detector, which was unable to determine that Boomer was a Cylon agent. When Baltar tries to use his authority as Vice President, Tigh points out that under Martial Law Baltar can either co-operate or be thrown into the ship’s brig. Meanwhile, the crews of the fleet’s supply ships begin to mutiny, refusing to give the Galactica much-needed supplies until President Roslin is reinstated into office. As protests and demonstrations break out amongst the fleet, Tigh is driven deeper into the bottle, and, succumbing to his wife’s manipulations, he orders boarding parties to storm the supply ships to seize their provisions – however, this heavy-handed action soon results in a fire fight in which several civilians are killed…
