'He That Believeth In Me' Story Code: '401' by David Weddle and Bradley Thompson |
Twelve Cylon models. Seven are known. Four live in secret. One will be revealed.
As the Cylons begin an all out attack on the Colonial fleet, Admiral Adama orders the mobilisation of all available pilots. Flying his Viper into the seemingly hopeless battle, Apollo is stunned to see Starbuck arrive on the scene, back from the dead and claiming that she has been to Earth. Meanwhile, Colonel Tigh, Chief Petty Officer Tyrol, Ensign Anders and Tory struggle with the revelation that they are Cylons – four of the so-called ‘Final Five’; concerned that their programming will lead them to betray the fleet, they agree on a suicide pact. Having destroyed the Pixus and the six-hundred people aboard, the Cylons begin a missile attack on the Galactica and the fleet. All seems lost for the Colonials – until Anders’ Raptor comes face-to-face with a Cylon Raider: after the enemy ship scans Anders and recognises him as its own kind, the Cylons immediately call off the attack and withdraw. Meanwhile, an acquitted Baltar discovers he now has a commune of attractive female cultists, who believe him to be an agent of the "One True God". The battle over, Starbuck returns to the Galactica, only to receive a mixed welcome from her comrades; believing that her journey through the nebula to Earth took just six hours, she is shocked to learn that she has been missing declared dead for two months; furthermore, her Viper is somehow now in pristine condition, and its computer memory has been wiped clean. Suspected of being a Cylon, arrested and thrown into the brig, Starbuck desperately tries to convince Roslin and Adama that she can lead them to their destination; but her claims fall on deaf ears, as the Admiral and the president continue to follow the path dictated by the Eye of Jupiter – a path that will send the fleet in the wrong direction…
