'Guess What's Coming To Dinner' Story Code: '407' by Michael Angeli

Having formed an uneasy alliance with the Cylon rebels, Starbuck and her team prepare to return to the Colonial fleet; however, during the jump the Demetrius experiences a problem, leaving Starbuck, Athena and the Cylon rebels aboard the baseship to materialise in the middle of the fleet unaccompanied. As the command team aboard the Galactica is thrown into an immediate panic, Admiral Adama instructs all civilian ships to make an emergency jump to safety and then gives the order to open fire on the Cylon vessel; however, Colonel Tigh realises that the baseship is not attacking and countermands his superior’s order – just as the Demetrius finally arrives. After Starbuck has vouched for the veracity of her new-found allies, Natalie meets with Adama and President Roslin with a proposition: it seems that the D'annas know the identities of the Final Five, who in turn know location of Earth; Natalie and her fellows need the Colonials’ help to release the D'annas from storage aboard their Resurrection Hub – and if they can destroy the Hub itself, they will prevent the Cylons from reproducing ever again, rendering their enemies mortal; Roslin agrees, but her decision causes friction with the Quorum of Twelve. After Doctor Cottle is forced to amputate Gaeta’s injured leg, the Lieutenant turns to song to cope with his pain. Knowing that her aide is sleeping with Baltar Roslin confronts Tory over her betrayal; she has been leaking information to her lover, which is fuelling his smear campaign against the president. Athena and Roslin share a dream set inside an opera house, in which Baltar and Number Six steal Hera from her mother. Athena is later horrified to learn that her daughter has become unnaturally obsessed with Natalie. Learning that her vision was foretold in the Hybrid’s prophecies, Roslin meets with Baltar and offers him the opportunity to visit the baseship…
