'The Farm' Story Code: '205' by Carla Robinson |
Having spent the night together, Starbuck and Anders take a team of resistance fighters out to storm a Cylon refuelling station with the aim of capturing a Cylon fighter; however, on arriving in the area they come under attack from a squad of Cylons, and in the crossfire Starbuck is badly wounded. On the Galactica, a recovered Commander Adama resumes command of the fleet and receives a hero's welcome from his crew; he then begins the unenviable task of tracking down his son and President Roslin, who are hiding somewhere amongst the ships of the fleet. Meanwhile, on the Kimba Huta, Tom Zarek joins Roslin, Apollo and Priest Elosha, who have been forced to hide in the ship’s frozen meat locker. In order to rally more supporters, Zarek suggests that Apollo record a message publicly condemning his father; however, when the time comes, Lee cannot bring himself to complete the announcement, and so Roslin steps in instead: she declares herself to be the voice of the prophet Pythia, and implores her followers to return to Kobol with her. Adama talks to Tyrol about the Chief’s love for ‘Boomer’, and instructs him to keep Cally in the brig for thirty-days as punishment for shooting the Cylon agent. Back on Cylon-occupied Caprica, Starbuck comes to and finds herself recovering from surgery in a field hospital; to her distress, her overly-friendly doctor, Simon, informs her that Anders died from injuries sustained in the Cylon ambush. When Simon then informs Starbuck that she could help rebuild the human race better by becoming a mother instead of a Viper pilot, Starbuck becomes suspicious, and her subsequent investigation of the hospital leads to a shocking discovery. Meanwhile, Anders – still very much alive – is busy searching for Starbuck when he receives help from a surprising quarter: Boomer…
