Forced to leave Angelus and Darla to fend for themselves, Angel helps Fred to free the ship from the invading pirates and mind-controlling scarabs. But then Ilyria takes control of her host once more, and after setting fire to their ship, she scuppers both it and the pirates’ vessel. Using a barrel lid to protect himself from the sun, Angel and a restored Fred bail out into a lifeboat and head out to sea – only to come under attack from scarab-possessed pirates…
