'Circuit Breaker': 02-'Adversary of the Daleks' (1 Part) by Dan Watters and Dulce Montoya

After the Fugitive Doctor makes a test run with the Resistor, Osgood and Andrew voice concerns at her approach to the mission, and her attitude towards working with UNIT. The Doctor takes a Dalek gun stick back to ancient Greece, unaware of what Daleks are and the danger they present. Arriving in Thessaloniki in ancient Greece, the Doctor learns that the locals are being forced to give food tributes to the gods of Mount Olympus. The Doctor orders the Greeks to stop their offerings, while she investigates the mountain. At the summit, she discovers that the gods are in fact a group of Mitikili, diminutive alien refugees who have fled their homeworld after it was destroyed by the Daleks; when the Mitikili landed on Earth, the distrustful Greeks refused to help them, forcing the peaceful aliens to use a perception filter to pose as gods so that they could obtain food from the superstitious locals. After the Doctor destroys the aliens’ equipment, the Mitikili warn her that it was also shielding the planet from Daleks - and very soon a Dalek scout approaches the Earth to destroy the last remaining Mitikili. With the impending threat, the Doctor persuades the Greeks and the Mitikili to work together to build a giant wooden Dalek for them all to hide in. As the Doctor attempts to reason with the Dalek scout, the villagers panic, and emerge from hiding - and are promptly massacred by the scout. Furious, the Doctor uses the gun stick to destroy the Dalek, then berates the remaining survivors for their actions. When the Doctor returns to UNIT and informs Osgood and Andrew of her actions, they are unimpressed with her behaviour. Something will have to change…
