'Seft of Emun' by J.K.E. Rose

Running low on radioactive power elements to fuel their cloning process, the Morthren are forced to revive one of their prisoners from suspended animation: Seft, High Priestess of the crystal planet Emun; by holding Seft’s son hostage, the aliens force the priestess to use her ability to create power crystals. However, Seft requires rare minerals as raw material, so the aliens escort her to a nearby market, where she inadvertently comes into contact with Harrison; the alien priestess uses their encounter to forge a psychic link, begging Harrison to save her from the aliens – because if she continues to use her power, she will die…
