'Law of the Jungle' by Martin Worth

Jenny is reunited with Charles and Agnes, who are to rendezvous with Greg at Lichfield. Together with Hubert they arrive at the farm of Edith Walters, and learn that it has been raided by a man named Brod, who has taken two of Edith’s sons as his disciples. Brod is an ex-butcher who believes that Man must revert to hunting in order to survive; his community lives in three abandoned railway carriages and hunts using crossbows. Brod sees the arrival of the travellers as a threat, and Charles soon finds himself duped into being caught in a man trap…
