Ian and Randi

A man chases an old woman through a busy marketplace, shooting her down in cold blood. But as the lady dies she in turn shoots her pursuer – and then her spirit swaps into a nearby dog. The man’s spirit then takes over a passer-by, and the chase resumes… When the dog reaches the Matheson’s B&B, the wandering spirit within transfers into Ian’s mum. Extremely uncomfortable at the new, sex-starved behaviour of his mother, Ian confronts her and learns that she is possessed by the ghost of one Sarah Bloom: her husband, Ivan, murdered her a century ago, then killed himself to get at her again, and they have been chasing each other ever since. When Ivan arrives, takes over Ian’s dad and then murders Ian’s guest, Professor Mason, Sarah is forced to body-swap again, this time into the family’s pet parrot. Ian and Randi offer to help Sarah, but they soon discover that she lied: Sarah is really Svetlana, the daughter of a Ruritanian dictator who ordered the death of Ivan, a revolutionary, exactly one hundred years ago in the very house in which the Matheson’s are now living. Then Svetlana makes another swap, taking over Randi’s body – so ‘dad’ grabs a knife and prepares to exact his revenge at long last…
