Ian and Randi

Ian gives a university lecture on Amazonian tribes, only to be heckled by a new student, Greg Cutler, an arrogant, self-opinionated expert on Guarani Indian ways. After the lecture, Randi confronts Greg to defend Ian, but ends up agreeing to join his mythology group. That night, Randi watches as Greg and his friends, Phil, Paige and Laura, use herbs and a tarantula in a voodoo ceremony that sends Laura squirming in sexual pleasure with a forest spirit. The next day, Paige tries blackmailing Greg into teaching him more voodoo, having become greedy with power after they caused a student couple to literally explode in passion a few nights before; Greg agrees – but then he uses a voodoo doll of Randi to turn her into a werewolf in the middle of her dental appointment, and sends her to kill Paige. Leaving the terrified dentist, Ian races after Randi, but is too late to prevent her from bursting into Paige’s room, where she scares the student into jumping out of a window to his death. Greg forces Phil and Laura to attend another ceremonial meeting, only to discover that they now want out; after killing the hapless duo by strangling their own voodoo effigies, Greg creates another doll – this time of Ian…
