Do Something Funny For Money

Sarah, Luke, Rani and Clyde are busy working in the attic with Mr Smith on a new energy reversal beam when they are interrupted by the arrival of a short, suited man wearing a bowler hat. After introducing himself as Ambassador Ranius, or “Rani” to his friends – and remarking how there are now two Rani’s – the man explains that he has been beamed to Earth by the Galactic Council to thank Sarah and her friends for all their hard work saving the Earth. Having presented each of the heroes with a gift of ‘Comic Relief’-styled deely-boppers, the ambassador seats himself in a nearby chair and starts to regale them with an amusing tale; but as soon as Ranius begins to fart, Sarah and her pals realise that he is actually one of their deadliest enemies, a Slitheen, in disguise! As the ambassador attempts to protest his innocence, K-9 materialises in the attic to deal with the intruder, only to be stopped in his tracks when a wheel clamp suddenly appears on his side. His cover blown, Ranius unzips his forehead and removes his skinsuit to reveal his true form; the diminutive Slitheen then activates devices hidden in the deely-boppers, incapacitating Sarah and the others so that he can kidnap K-9. However, Clyde manages to grab the ambassador’s bowler hat and throw it at Mr Smith’s control panel, activating the energy reversal beam and channelling it through Sarah’s sonic lipstick; and as soon as Sarah has halted Ranius in his tracks, Mr Smith teleports the furious alien back into space. Sarah, Luke, Rani and Clyde reflect on how mad the last five minute have been – and then laugh when a red nose inexplicably materialises on K-9’s snout!
