'Tower of London' by Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie with Tim Brooke-Taylor |
The Goodies move into their new office, which has been funded by Tim’s auntie and equipped by the genius that is Graeme’s gadget-mad mind. Realising that the only thing they need now is a purpose, they decide to be good to people when needed, with the slogan “We do anything, anytime”. After Bill advertises their services in a number of questionable periodicals the gang receive their first case, as their presence is officially requested at the Tower of London. Deep in a dungeon-kitchen Tim, Graeme and Bill meet Grand Commander Superintendant Colonel Yeoman-at-Arms Barnett, who asks for their help in tracking down whoever is stealing the Beefeater’s beef. The Goodies soon uncover a plot to steal the Crown Jewels – but the culprit turns out to be someone rather more important than they were expecting…
