The Goodies

Learning that all the film studios are closing down, Tim, Bill and Graeme decide to buy up Pinetree Studios for £25 in a bid to revitalise the British movie industry. However, after watching the films made by the studio’s directors and declaring them all to be boring and pretentious, the Goodies promptly fire everyone and resolve to make their own movies instead. Unfortunately the trio soon fall out after their first attempt, ‘MacBeth Meets Truffaut the Wonder Dog’ turns out as a shambolic mess, and they vow never to work with each other again. While Bill begins work on a black and white slapstick comedy, Tim takes on the title role in his new version of ‘Samson’, and Graeme dons a cowboy outfit in a Western. The only problem is that they all begin filming on the same studio lot at the same time – and chaos inevitably ensues…
