The Goodies

On Christmas Eve, as Graeme and Bill prepare to enjoy the celebrations and not fall out with each other, they are stopped by a shocking radio announcement: all the world leaders have jointly considered all the world’s problems and decided that there is no point in going on, and so have agreed to blow up the planet at midnight. With just twenty-eight minutes remaining until the end of the world, Bill decides to go out and enjoy himself in a wanton display of self-gratification, while Graeme busies himself with an insurance claim. However, when the duo break the news to Tim, their friend goes into a panic (“I’m a teapot!”) that the magical Christmas he was looking forward to will never come. Graeme suggests bringing Christmas forward, and persuades Bill to help Tim overcome his inhibitions before the world ends…
