The Goodies

Returning from a rubbish fishing holiday, Bill and Graeme are shocked to discover that Tim has grown fat and lazy over the weekend. Tim’s only interest is in Terry Wogan’s radio show, in which the DJ brainwashes his housewife listeners into going for a jog out in the streets – and straight into his ‘Lazy DJ Health Farm’! Forced into a rigorous routine of exercise and healthy-eating, all the chubby housewives are transformed into slim beauties – including Tim, now dragged up in a wig and dress and looking lovely. When Terry announces ‘the ‘Miss Housewife of the Year Contest, Tim immediately decides to enter under the name of ‘Timberly’; but Graeme is suspicious, and on live radio he gets the DJ to reveal his true motive: ensuring that he only gets to compere with lovely girls, not ugly old bats. Terry is instantly sacked, and so Graeme rushes off to BBC Radio to get his job. It isn’t long before Graeme is running the whole of BBC Radio: he becomes mad with power, announces that he will compere the beauty contest, and then orders the nation’s housewives to go out and get fat again!
