The Goodies

The Goodies are broke – mainly because Graeme has spent all their money on metal-detecting equipment so that he can go prospecting for gold. Heading west in search of their fortune, Graeme, Tim, Bill and their stuffed mule arrive in Cornwall, where they discover old tins in an old tin mine, and then find a rich supply of Cornish cream! Graeme immediately puts Tim and Bill to work harvesting the cream, while he takes it easy and enjoys the fruits of their labour; Tim and Bill soon get fed up and go on strike, only to learn that Graeme was planning to register a claim on their find solely in his name. After Graeme manages to sneak off later that night, leaving behind a dummy in his place, news of his claim spreads like wildfire: the nearby town of Penanink is soon flooded with prospectors, and the cream mine is quickly exhausted. Bill and Tim pack up their tent and prepare to go home, only to suddenly strike strawberry jam – and not only that, they also find a rich supply of scones nearby! Seeing his friends’ success, the ruthless Graeme offers to buy them out – and when they refuse, he proposes that they settle the matter with a duel at the ‘OK Tearooms’…
