The Ghosts of Motley Hall Cast

Sir George announces that he is writing his memoirs, using the recently-discovered diary of his ancestor, Sir Chevril Uproar. Learning that Motley Hall was founded in 1577 – exactly four hundred years ago – Bodkin suggests that they mark the anniversary with a masque, in which each of the ghosts can act out scenes from Motley’s history. But when Bodkin begins writing the masque, he finds that the pages covering the English Civil War have been recently torn out from the diary. Matt decides to flush out the culprit, and when Sir George, Fanny and the White Lady begin rehearsals with Bodkin, he pretends to find another volume of Sir Chevril’s writings. Bodkin and Matt lie in wait for the guilty party to take the diary, only to discover that it is the White Lady; when the female phantom disappears in a fit of pique, Matt guesses that there must be something in the book that reveals who she really is – something that the White Lady is clearly ashamed of…
