Fry goes to work in his other job as a night-watchman at the Head Museum, where the heads of the U.S Presidents talk him into throwing a party; the Planet Express crew join in, but the celebrations are soon ruined when Professor Farnsworth is insulted by George Washington’s head because one of his ancestors, David Farnsworth, was a spy and a forger. When Zoidberg drinks some of the water in which the heads are suspended he, the professor and Amy are somehow transported back to the 1960s; realising that the temporal properties of the heads’ preservative fluid can be used as a time machine, Professor Farnsworth sees a way to deal with his nefarious ancestor: he and his crew journey to 17th April 1776, when the Fourth Provincial Congress is meeting in Halifax, North Carolina. With the help of Benjamin Franklin and Paul Revere, the professor finally tracks down his wayward ancestor – and promptly beats him up and then burns his counterfeit money. However, during the proceedings Fry accidentally causes Paul Revere to give the wrong warning about the invading British fleet – and when the Planet Express crew return to their own time, they find themselves with British accents, in the middle of a very different New New York...
